Scientist Data Analysis
Who we are
Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced proteomics. We are driven by a commitment to innovation, quality, and transparency, providing exceptional solutions and support for human protein biomarker discovery.
For many years, the critical role of proteins in human biology has been recognized, but technological constraints limited comprehensive research into their potential across various biological processes and diseases. With our innovative Olink solutions, scientists can now measure thousands of human proteins simultaneously using just a few microliters of blood. Our highly specific and validated assays cover a wide dynamic range, empowering groundbreaking research.
Our services include flexible protein biomarker solutions, with a robust library of thoroughly validated assays covering ~5000 proteins. As we expand globally, we continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of scientific discovery. To learn more, visit www.olink.com.

The team is responsible for critical investigations, troubleshooting and improving products and processes. The work is often carried out in project form, where several projects are run in parallel. The content of the projects is characterized by a high interdisciplinary level (everything from large-scale data analysis to biochemical and molecular biological techniques) which is linked both to development, monitoring, investigations, scale-up, technology, QC, production, support, etc.
The members in the team have various backgrounds and some are more focused on data analysis and some more focused on laboratory work. Together they work cross-functionally to get to the bottom of every mystery surrounding product performance, errors, improvements etc.
Primary Responsibilities
As a part of our group, your duties will vary across projects and investigations. The main tasks will be to:
- Analyse large data sets, interpret data, identify critical parameters and draw conclusions
- Monitor, trend, and analyze data and QC parameters to support investigations/trouble shooting and to ensure high quality of our products and processes
- Design data pipelines for critical investigations/troubleshooting
- Actively participate in project work and investigations cross-functionally
- Provide bioinformatic expertise and support
- Develop, optimize and improve design parameters, methods, protocols and processes to support the product throughout the product life cycle
- Compile, document and report results in technical reports and present results at meetings
Qualifications/Skill
- PhD from the Life Science field, preferably in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Molecular Biology or similar
- Solid experience in advanced data analysis and bioinformatics
- Experience in applying data analysis methods in medical or biological research with data from high throughput technologies in proteomics and genomics
- Experience of processing and visualizing large amounts of data
- Demonstrated ability to work across different teams and disciplines
- Programming skills in R and/or Python. Skills in other methods/languages such as SQL is an advantage
- Demonstrated strong communication skills in English and preferably Swedish, both oral and written
- Good knowledge in molecular biology/chemistry/proteomics/immunology
- Experience with NGS, PCR/qPCR, screening methods and/or immunological analysis methods is advantageous
- Experience with antibodies, DNA, protein, enzymes is advantageous
- Full professional proficiency in English is a must and an intermediate level of Swedish is required (you need to be able to read and understand lab protocols in Swedish)
As a person, you are driven, structured and solution oriented. You have a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and an eye for detail, which makes it easy for you to understand complex problems. You are a team player who treats others with respect and who communicates clearly.
