Position Description:
The Highplex Workflow Automation Product Manager leads the development and integration of NGS workflow automation solutions into the Highplex portfolio. In this role, you will drive the investigation and optimization of existing NGS technologies and workflow automation systems (e.g., liquid handlers, robotic platforms, and data analysis tools) towards validation to ensure seamless integration. You will collaborate cross-functionally to enable the advancement of scalable, reproducible, and cutting-edge Olink proteomics research solutions for customers in academia, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries.
You will join our Digital & Automation team that consists of 4 other Product Managers representing different parts of our portfolio. You will report directly to our Product Portfolio Director Digital & Automation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a product strategy and roadmap for integrating third-party NGS and workflow automation technologies into the Highplex portfolio.
- Define product vision based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, focusing on the validation and optimization of existing solutions rather than in-house development.
- Oversee the validation of third-party NGS platforms, reagents, and automation equipment to ensure compatibility across Highplex portfolio product workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine experimental protocols, optimize performance, and standardize workflows.
- Partner with R&D to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring robust and reliable integrations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging NGS technologies, and workflow automation advancements.
- Analyze the competitive landscape and identify areas for differentiation in the affinity proteomics space.
- Analyze industry standards for regulatory requirements for workflow automation equipment.
- Relevant degree in a related field, (molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field; An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Certification in Product Management.
- Experience in product management, workflow development, or technology integration within the life sciences industry is required.
- Hands-on experience with NGS workflows and/or automation platforms (liquid handling, robotics) is required.
- Strong understanding of NGS technologies (e.g., sequencing platforms, library prep, data analysis) and proteomics applications.
- Familiarity with automation systems (e.g., Hamilton, Tecan, or equivalent) and software integration workflows.
- Experience with experimental design and validation, including data analysis and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Full professional proficiency in English is required
