Position Description: 

We are currently seeking a Software Development Manager to join Olink and take responsibility for our NPX teams. As a Software Development Manager you will manage staff working in the entire development cycle, from UX and software design, development to testing, where your primary task will be in supporting your teams to be productive and continually improving. 

You will manage two product teams working with data analysis pipelines supporting both our high-plex and mid-plex platforms. These software suites are used by our customers to generate and quality control the proteomics data that comes out of the laboratories and is an integral part of some groundbreaking medical studies. As a manager, you will lead the teams and push for innovation and a risk-based approach to enable efficient development that maximize value for the research community.

Our teams are part of the RnD organization and work closely cross functionally, including RnD, Product Management, Technical Support and Field Application Specialists to drive the development of our products together and you will be a key person in this collaboration. 

This role will be based in our Uppsala headquarters and report to our Head of Software Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead and grow software development teams including developers, testers and UX.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams and functions

• Establish and improve ways of working and development processes.

• Contribute to and implement technical strategies across the department.

• Set objectives and follow up with team members

• Ensure great onboarding and training of new team members.

• Build a great culture that promotes innovation, collaboration and caring

Qualifications/Skills:

• 5+ years of leadership experience, leading software development teams

• Ability to motivate and grow your team. 

• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish 

• Experience of agile ways of working in software development. 

• Previous hands-on experience as a software developer. 

• Experience of working in regulated environments. 

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 

• Experience of working in the Life Sciences area is preferred
