Position Description: 

We are currently seeking a Software Development Manager to join Olink and take responsibility for our Olink Insight team. As a Software Development Manager you will manage a small product team and your primary task will be in supporting your team to be productive, continually improving and providing a clear development direction for the platform in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Olink® Insight is an innovative scientific platform that addresses the complex challenges of proteomic data. Built on scientific data and rich features, Olink Insight empowers users on their journey from experiment planning and design to post-run data analysis. Our teams work closely with the rest of the organization, including RnD, Data Science, Product Management, Technical Support and Field Application Specialists to drive the development of our products together and you will be a key person in this collaboration. 

This role will be based in our Uppsala headquarters and report to our Head of Software Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead and grow software development teams including developers, testers and UX. 

• Support the team with planning, executing and prioritizing work.

• Work closely with Product Manager on product roadmap and strategy.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams and functions.

• Establish and improve ways of working and development processes. 

• Contribute to and implement technical strategies across the department. 

• Set objectives and follow up with team members 

• Ensure great onboarding and training of new team members. 

• Build a great culture that promotes innovation, collaboration and caring 

Qualifications/Skills:

• 3+ years of leadership experience. 

• Ability to motivate and grow your team. 

• Excellent communication skills in English, Swedish is also greatly merited.

• Experience of agile ways of working in software development. 

• Hands on experience as a developer. 

• Experience of acting as a Product Owner.

• Experience of working with cloud based solutions 

• Experience of working in the Life Sciences area.

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
